Business Breakfast Forums: Spring Series #2 - Strategies for Growth

22nd May, 0019

Penrith Chamber of Trade & Commerce has teamed up with Eden District Council to invite Lancaster University to co-host a series of three fully-funded (free!) Business Forum events this spring. These breakfast meetings follow the successful format already used by the Chamber, but introduce some external ideas, expertise and challenges from leading academic thinkers. The topics have been chosen to encourage good discussion and debate around important, but often challenging, subjects.

Breakfast rolls, tea, coffee and fruit juice will be available.  Please let us know your preference for your breakfast roll when you book.

Session #2 - Strategies for Growth

The Local Industrial Strategy talks a great deal about growth, about numbers of startups, and about how to support economic development across Cumbria. This presentation focusses not on start ups but on scale ups - what the concerns are, what support is available, and what are the real challenges facing those who wish to scale up, innovate and experiment with new business ideas. This session is delivered by Eden District Council in conjunction with the Business Engagement Team at Lancaster University.

The business engagement team from Lancaster will be on site at each event, and available until 10am to discuss the wide range of business support services offered.
