Chambers “Pots of Money” Scheme

22nd March, 2017

The Chamber has successfully applied for funding from BID, Pride in Penrith Lottery, Penrith Town Council and Penrith Chamber of Trade. Each area will receive a guaranteed amount of up to £500 initially with further amounts available for larger and/or combined projects.

Your Ambassadors should be coming to discuss what you would like to spend your allocated money on in your area. Spending is within certain fairly loose parameters to promote Penrith and taking PRIDE in Penrith, this includes the town centre and outlying areas incorporating Townhead, Bridge Lane and key access points to the town.

Suggestions through the questionnaires completed some time ago are weeding throughout all areas (contacted), uniform signage (replacing A Boards), uniform street planters, waste bins, artwork and many more but this is up to the individual areas to discuss.

Feedback and suggestions should be forwarded to your Ambassadors by 27th April, however this does not mean the funding disappears and if more time is needed that’s fine.

If you don’t know who your Ambassador is, would like further information on the Chambers “Pots of Money” Scheme or you are interested in becoming an Ambassador please email Fiona Askins on [email protected] or our secretary Patricia on [email protected] for further details.
