Parking Charges dropped!

As some of you may have seen Cumbria County Council have decided to drop on street parking charges…..for now!!

With the high street under increasing pressure, the Chamber welcomes this U turn decision. However this does not mean that we don’t need to consider a proper parking strategy for Penrith. The town is in urgent need of some rationalisation when it comes to parking and our discussions with the district council, Cumbria County Council and the BID will continue.
